Another Christmas Celebration

We celebrated Christmas with my parents and Aunt Myrtle on the 23rd and stuck to our usual Christmas meal of pig-in-the-blankets, soup, and salad.  It's a hit with everyone including the kids.  About 20 minutes before my parents arrived Ben split his head open on the coffee table and bled what I thought looked like a gallon of blood all over me.  We went to the doctor where his head was glued back together, and we were back home within an hour in time for the party.  It was another year of many blessings.  We are always thankful to have Aunt Myrtle with us especially at Christmas.  This year the kids got a Christmas karaoke cd so we all had a lot of fun singing along to that after dinner and presents.

Erin and Grandpa

Loving sisters...for at least a few minutes!

Helping Aunt Myrtle open a present

Ben opening his Spiderman watch...You can see his glued head wound and his "Something About Mary" hair as a result of the soap, shave, and glue.  His shirt still has blood all over it, but he refused to change it.  Some battles just aren't worth it.

Claire devouring one of the books she got.  She loves the Ripley's Believe it or Not type books.

Everyone excited about their new Wii games.  We are a Wii-loving family!

 Let the karaoke begin!

I think this was "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree"

Erin and my mom singing "Blue Christmas" Elvis style.  Sometime during the evening Erin went and changed her clothes which I didn't realize until just now.

Glad you had a great Christmas! Bummer about poor Ben's head. Katie did the same thing when she was about his age and had to get her head glued. Good thing they bounce back quickly. :) Did you get tickets for CA?
