Erin dressed up in her Chinese outfit which I got a couple of years ago in Chinatown in San Francisco. They double as pj's.

The chopsticks did not last...but it was fun to try!
We've been counting down to this day for a while now...the day of the 2nd grade China feast. Erin's class has been learning about China and today they enjoyed some Chinese food made especially for them by Mr. DeKoster, the principal's husband who is a bit of a gourmet cook. They performed some dances for the parents and were then encouraged to at least try the stir fry. Erin gobbled all of hers up, but somehow I think if I replicated it at home she wouldn't touch it. Today worked out great for me as well because I was called into substitute for one of the 2nd grade teachers who went home sick. I was able to be at school and enjoy all the festivities with Erin....and get paid for it.
