The Blue Dragons after our amazing win!
This year I took on the job as coach of Claire's 3rd/4th grade basketball team at school. She didn't really want to play the season unless I was the coach, and because I saw such an improvement in her last season and wanted her to do it, and because I thought it would be fun, I caved. There are 3 other teams, and our season started out a little rough with losses to all of the teams. But then something started to click. I'd like to say it was my coaching that did it, but that would be a lie. I think a huge part of it had to do with my awesome defensive coach....Jerry. On our 4th game he stood down on the defensive side and kept the girls on their toes by making sure they were guarding their girl, etc. Over time and throughout practices their dribbling and shooting started to improve. Our 5th game we tied, our 6th game we won, our 7th game we tied, and tonight we KILLED a team we initially lost to. 28-8. We are now the team to beat. Too bad the season is done. It almost makes me want to coach again, but I know I'm not cut out for it due to the fact that I get so nervous during the games my heart starts to beat irregularly. So this is the beginning of my coaching career and the end. Way to go Blue Dragons!

That's awesome! Scott and I were laughing about him and Pete coaching last year. Fun times!
