Claire's 2nd grade class has been following the Iditarod which finished up last week. This Friday the 2nd and 5th grades at her school had their own Iditarod. The 2nd graders were the mushers and the 5th graders were the dogs. They traveled in sleds around to the checkpoints which were the same checkpoints the Alaskan mushers traveled to. At each checkpoint they had to complete some sort of task. It was fun to watch! Needless to say, Claire's dogs had no trouble pulling her 50 pound body across Alaska!
