Ben loves trucks, and so this past week my dad took Jerry and Ben to the airport to view the firetrucks and some of the heavy equipment there right now. For those of you who don't know, my dad has some pull at the airport! When they first got inside the hanger with the firetrucks Ben immediately tensed up because he was afraid they were going to sound their horn. Now we're going back to parade days and the love/hate relationship Ben had with those trucks. He wanted to watch so badly but was terrified at the same time. As they were looking at the trucks one of the firemen came up and offered to take them for a ride. They took a ride through the airport property and the fireman showed how the hoses work and the different types of spray they put out. Ben loved it! You can't really tell, but he wore his favorite firetruck sweater for the occasion.
