B is for Boat

This week is "B" week at Erin's preschool, and she is the special helper of the week which makes me in charge of bringing the snack. I was supposed to bring a snack that somehow related to the letter "B" or to the theme of boats. Erin and I worked Sunday afternoon to make jello boats complete with a pretzel mast holding a carrot flag (stuck on with peanut butter) on an ocean of goldfish crackers. We hollowed out 12 oranges after slicing them in half and then poured jello in them to set. Once the jello was set we cut them again to look like boats and added the mast and flag. The ocean is just blue saran wrap on a paper plate. I think they turned out really cute, and she was very excited to bring them into school.
