This weekend we went over to some friends for pizza from our favorite place by our old house and did some pumpkin carving with the kids. It is always fun to reconnect with people who you don't see that often. We get together with Rob and Lucinda usually a few times a year, but this year we realized a full year has passed! Claire immediately remembered, however, when we pulled up in their driveway that this was the place where she got her gigantic sliver back in 2005. Yes, that mind is a steel trap!

What a great family picture, and I love the story about the field trip. Life has to remind us it's not always the big things, and less can be more. Thanks for the reminder.
