Kindergarten Graduate

My baby girl is officially a 1st grader. Today was Claire's last day of Kindergarten. It's amazing to me what she has all learned this year. She went into the school year knowing most, but not all of her letters, and now she is reading! What a little sponge!

Another story that shows how Claire is growing up: Tonight I went out for dinner with Brenda, and Jerry had the kids. He was in the process of putting Erin to bed, and Claire wanted a snack so Jerry told her to get one from the cupboard herself because he was busy at the moment. When Jerry came downstairs, Claire was just hitting stop on the microwave and had popped herself a bag of popcorn. She even used the popcorn button and stopped it a few seconds early to prevent scalding. She then took the bag out of the microwave, shook it a few times (to get that even coating of butter), and pulled it open! What a big girl!
