Jerry left this morning for sunny Florida on a business trip so I am once again a single mom for the week. I know that what I do doesn't compare to truly being a single mom, but I can somewhat empathize. By the end of the day (which I aim for being 8 pm, but always ends up being later) I am completely exhausted. Yet somehow I always get a second wind around 9 and then stay up too late and pay for it the next day. Tonight we took a ride to the post office because I had to mail in a speeding ticket (yes, I was speeding down Burton), and we then took the long way to Russ'. We all ate in the car in the Russ' parking lot because I avoid doing restaurants alone with my three kids. The kids had cheeseburgers and fries, and I had a turkey reuben which is one of the best sandwiches in GR!! We had a grand time, and Claire started in on questions where she asks about 100 questions of various topics that any 5 year old might be pondering over. Here is a sampling: "Did dinosaurs live on the grass or the sand?" "Would robbers come into our house if we left the front door and the garage door wide open?" (She's had an obsession with robbers since Jerry's car was broken into last year) "Where did you and daddy meet?" "Where is it warm right now? Is the beach at grandma and grandpa's cottage warm?" "Is there a planet that has fire on it?" "Why do Brenda and Joel have two kitties?" Anyway, after baths, snacks, books, prayers, and kisses, I can honestly say I have the best job in the world.

You are the absolute best mom in the world! And a trooper of a wife...
Why do Brenda & Joel have two kitties?
I second that Jerry.
And third on the kitties at the Hondorps...LOL
good question. As I face the daunting task of cleaning the cat $%^t box once again...I ask myself that question too. Hmmm, we could start a new thing on eBay I bet. FREE SHIPPING included!
Lynn...thanks for the tips on organizing.
Read the whole article...definitely some food for thought!
Thanks again. =)
