This year Claire participated in swim team through MVP. She had to be up every morning by about 8:30 (which is early for her) in order to be at the pool by 9 for practice. Lucky for her we had a really hot summer so there weren't too many cool mornings. The first swim meet of the season fell on Claire's birthday which also pushed her up into a new age bracket. She did awesome, especially for being the youngest swimmer in the age bracket. She even made it to the finals in backstroke. The Hill family (minus Darren) was here visiting during the semi-finals and finals so we were able to enjoy lots of fun times with them as well. We went to the beach and out on my parents' boat. The Hills headed back Saturday afternoon after a fun day out on Lake Michigan.
