Zoo

All three of the kids enjoyed petting the turtle.

Of course we stopped and read every sign to get the most educational experience out of it all...uh huh, right!

I felt these bears could probably make the jump across if they were provoked enough.  It made me a little nervous.....

Erin was the only one brave enough to pet the stingrays.

The pygmy goats were pretty cute!

We got a really good look at this guy eating his apple and lettuce.  Those hands are so human-like!

Riding the camel was fun for all of them!

Once a year we try to get to our local John Ball Park Zoo so today was the day. Because it was supposed to be a scorcher, we arrived at 9 am just as the park was opening. It was great to go through the zoo without the huge crowds. We were in no hurry, but my kids have one speed which is basically a full tilt run. We were home by 11:30 and saw every exhibit. I even splurged the extra $5 per child so they could ride the camel. I figured it's once a year. See you next summer John Ball Park Zoo!
