Preschool Olympics
Benjamin's preschool class had a Preschool Olympics last week. The whole class ran out to the track carrying "Olympic torches" made of aluminum foil and tissue paper. They broke up into teams and each participated in 4 events: the long jump, the hurdle (notice there is no plural), the discus, and the cone race. The kids were encouraged to cheer each other on, and after it was all finished they each received a gold medal. It was adorable to watch, and Ben is so proud of what he calls his golden medal.
