Ben's first solo trip down the hill. He has forgotten all about landing on a frozen hay bale last season.
Ben ended up with a face full of snow after this run
The first snow of the year always seems like a huge deal, whether it's 2 inches or 12. And as was the case last year, the first snow always brings a snow day along with it. Claire reasoned that "they just want everyone to have fun with the first snow" and that was why her school was closed. I don't know who she thinks "they" are, but I think she may be right. We were out sledding by 9 am. Our snow hill could use a bushwacker, but I'm sure after a few more sledding days those pesky shrubs will be flattened nicely.

are you kidding me? I thought you were joking when you said "snow day", we've hardly even seen the white stuff flying around let alone touch the ground and stay there-I hope it's not headed our way! I'm not ready for it!
Looks so fun, I wish we would get a dumping of snow. I'm ready for it!! Enjoy. We're counting down the days til CHristmas. Can't wait to see you all!
