Jerry and I planned a trip back to Canada this weekend to correspond with our Nexus interviews at the border. This enabled our family to get "fast passes" to pass through the lines at the border. It was well worth it! Even though the lines were not that long there or back, it still saved us a ton of time, and I know we'll save even more time this summer when all those people haul their campers over into Ontario. Our visit with Jerry's family was short but sweet. We were all able to enjoy a hockey game (Hamilton Bulldogs) at Copp's Colosseum. At halftime our nephew Jordan played with his team which was fun to watch. Ben's highlight of the weekend was riding in the tractor with grandpa and snowblowing the driveway. Claire's highlight was the dress that grandma brought back for her from Hawaii. She wore it ALL weekend over her other clothes and she told me that she's wearing it school tomorrow as well....great! Top that off with the braid she insisted wearing in her hair and she looked like she was straight out of the '70's. Erin's highlight was screaming at the top of her lungs during the hockey game when they ask the crowd to "make some noise." She loved screaming super loud and not have me tell her to be quiet. I also had two favorite quotes of Erin's from the weekend. The first was when driving to Canada we were talking about who is the President of the US. She responded with George Washington. Claire then corrected her that it is George Bush. Erin replied with , "Oh yeah, that's his dad I was talking about." Her other humorous quote occurred after a fight with her sister in which Erin hit Claire on the head. I asked Erin why she hit her sister and she said, "I didn't see her head there!" We all had a chuckle on that one.
